Kaye Wood does a nice job with this video on Free motion Machine Quilting. It is 26 minutes long but it is well done. If you don’t need more demos on Machine Quilting, you should still watch the first 5 minutes. They give a great tip for keeping your fabric from getting all twisted up in the wash. Have you ever dreamed of having your original quilt design featured in a major magazine? If you are like most amateur quilt designers, you have at least dreamed, but then reality sets in and you begin to doubt your abilities, you think how can I compete against all the published artist and professional teachers. Well, now is your chance, McCall’s Quilting Quilt Design Star™ 2012 has an Amateur Category. You are considered an amateur if you have NEVER earned any money off your quilting. There are several phases in this competition, but if you Win you will be featured in a future edition of McCall’s Quilting magazine. If this idea interest you, you have until April 29, 2012 to get your entry in. Click HERE to find the official rules. Let go of your fears and get your entry in now.
