You need to visit just 3 quilt shops a day for 5 days to see all the Quilt Shops in the Northern California 2012 Quilt Rush Shop Hop April 18 – 22, 2012.  If you visit all the shops and get your passport stamped at each one you will be entered to win prizes including the grand prize of $1,500 shopping spree or 2nd place prize of $500 in quilting supplies.  In addition there will be 15 winners of miscellaneous quilting supplies. 

You will find some great shops along the way, maybe one you have thought about going to but have just never made the time.  Well now is the time, start making your plans to visit all the shops and collect you free pattern for a basket block from each.  Some of the participating quilt shops including:

Ilwaco WA – Annual Peninsula Quilt Guild Show – March 16-18, 2012

Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum in Ilwaco WA is hosting The 17th Annual Peninsula Quilt Guild Exhibition on Friday and Saturday, the 16th and 17th March from 10:00am – 4:00pm, and Sunday, March 18th, from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm.  The exhibition includes quilts of all types and sizes and fills 3 galleries.

If visiting the quilt show sparks your creative side swing over to the Anna Lena Open Studio, where local artist Karen Snyder  who designs quilting fabrics, writes quilting books and  designs quilting patterns will have her studio open to the public. She will have her fabrics, books and patterns on sale, fat quarters and books will be marked at discount prices.  Her studio will be open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, March 16 – 20  The studio is located at 3711 Pioneer Road, Long Beach, WA
